Maggie Smith23 April 2026Tom made us some shelves for our garage. The job was a bit open ended but Tom took time to ascertain what was needed. He carried out the work very efficiently, turning up when he said he would, methodically and carefully getting it finished. He was a very pleasant presence. We were very pleased with the finished result. We have since used Tom to fix our wardrobe doors. Every time I use them I am delighted that they now work smoothly.Posted on Google
QKS8 March 2026Gyles built a book exchange box for our local community. It was crowd funded so it took a while to reach the target but Gyles was great at staying in touch through this and agreeing the details about what would be built. He had great attention to detail and was happy to answer any questions. He was always easy to contact and always got back in touch. He was very accommodating with the delivery and just really helpful throughout the whole process. The book box was built in the time frame he said it would be and he always kept me updated. It's fantastic quality and really well built and finished, and the community and I love it. If I ever need another book box I'd definitely go to Gyles for it. SamPosted on Google

Kalliope Robinson4 July 2025I am very happy with my piece done by Gyles. I had an old coffee table and a need for some seating benches for my dining room table. I called around quite a bit but no other joiners were interested as it’s a small project. Gyles did not make me feel like my ask was to little and happily took it on as a side project. He did very good work on it, the cut and measurements seem very clean and professional. After cutting it he checked it for stability and wasn’t confident it could bear the type of weight I was expecting it to as two benches, so he offered to make it more stable. I was pleased he communicated this to me, it showed he really understood the project he was taking on and wanted to provide me with something safe. I would hire Gyles again for any small or large projects. He is communicative, efficient and takes a proactive approach to his projects. Thanks again Gyles! We love our benches and will enjoy a family dinner with them tonight!Posted on Google
